Our chapter represents Case Management professionals who reside or work in the state of South Carolina.
Chapter Dues: NO chapter dues are required in addition to national dues for chapter membership.
By joining the South Carolina Chapter of the ACMA, you gain access to a collaborative network of individuals who are dedicated to the advancement of hospital/health system case management.
The SC chapter sponsors two key educational events annually, a spring and fall conference to discuss the many challenges and opportunities facing our state and hospital based case management. In addition to providing education these events provide an excellent opportunity for networking with case management colleagues on various issues and topics.

This conference presents a 2014 Case Management Boot Camp as well as other current topics affecting case management and healthcare, i.e., ethical issues, Proviso 2014, and a Federal Update.
Toni Cesta, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, Owner and Consultant Case Management Concepts LLC
Toni G. Cesta, Ph.D., RN, FAAN is Senior Vice President – Operational Efficiency and Capacity Management at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. In her position, Dr. Cesta is responsible for case management, social work, discharge planning, utilization management, denial management, bed management, the patient navigator program, the clinical documentation improvement program and systems process improvement. The author of eight books, and a frequently sought after speaker, lecturer and consultant, Dr. Cesta is considered one of the primary thought leaders in the field of case management. Dr. Cesta writes a monthly column called “Case Management Insider” in the Hospital Case Management journal.
Bev Cunningham, MS, RN, Vice President-Resource Management Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas,Texas
Bev's areas of responsibility include Case Management, Health Information Management, Patient Access, Transplant Financial Services and Transplant Organ Clinical Operations. She also served as the Vice President of Quality Management at Medical City. Prior to her position as Vice President, Resource Management, Bev was Regional Director of Clinical Effectiveness for Mercy Health Partners in Toledo, Ohio. In this role she directed the Case Management, Quality Management, and Pre-Authorization Departments. She also served eight years as a consultant, assisting hospitals in implementing, evaluating and improving their case management programs. As a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Master of Nursing Program at the University of Oklahoma, she coached students in their clinical practicums. Bev is a well-known speaker in the Case Management field. Involved in the development of case management for over twenty five years, her areas of expertise include denials management, patient flow and the role of the Case Manager and Social Worker in the Case Management process. She has served as a Commissioner on the Commission for Case Management Certification and is a fellow with the Advisory Board. Bev is also a partner and consultant in Case Management Concepts.

“Pee Dee Area Health Education Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This nursing continuing education awards 5.5 contact hours upon successful completion. “CE approval refers only to CE activities and does not imply SCNA or Pee Dee AHEC endorsement of any commercial product.”
This program has been approved for 4.0 non-social work hours and 1.5 social work hours continuing education by Pee Dee AHEC, as part of the SC AHEC system, under its accreditation by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners. This program is approved for 0.55 CEUs (5.5 clock hours) by Pee Dee AHEC and meets the SC AHEC Best Practice Standards.
