Connolly Posts New CMS-Approved RAC Audit Issues

Connolly Healthcare, the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) for Region C, has recently updated its list of CMS-approved RAC audit issues for all states in Region C.
New DME issues include: Budesonide – dose vs. billed units, J7605 Arformoterol, (Brovana), and Q4099 Formoterol fumarate (perforomist). New issues regarding outpatient hospital claims include: Medically Unlikely Edit list; Nebulizer, demonstration and evaluation units billed; Adenosine – dose vs. units billed; and Barium swallow studies units billed. Connolly also added 36 issues regarding non-medical necessity DRG validation review.
