CMS Answers RAC Questions on Condition Code 44, Medicare Part B, Observation

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released new Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) FAQs. CMS publishes RAC FAQs to provide answers to common questions and address concerns with the RAC program.
Updated RAC FAQs address: reporting of drug administration services during the time period when observation services are being reported, reporting of observation services when patient status is changed from inpatient to outpatient using Condition Code 44, Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQR) measures, and a number of other issues.
