March Madness is a Membership Drive competition. This is a bracket style competition with five rounds of elimination. Chapters are awarded points for measurable feats such as new member recruitment, national conference attendee recruitment, increasing chapter retention percentage, etc.

Based on your involvement and commitment to your professional development our chapter was able accumulate the most points to win this initiative. We were able to win because our chapter members  were able to see the value of your ACMA membership. Thank you for engaging!

It's time to celebrate NURSES!

SoCal ACMA would like to wish our Nurse Members a "Happy Nurses Week" and say a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to these valuable case management professionals for all the tireless, hard work they do! They continue to emerge as one of the heroes during this challenging times of fighting the COVID19 pandemic.

This year is also very especial to the nursing and midwifery profession as the World Health Organization (WHO) has designated 2020 as the “Year of the Nurse and Midwife”, in honour of the 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale.

National Nurses Week History per the American Nurses Association begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale's birthday. These permanent dates enhance planning and position National Nurses Week as an established recognition event (nursingworld.org, 2017) .

Let's all remember to show our appreciation to our Nurse Members and help celebrate the week!

Cultural Diversity and Ethics
Speaker: Viki Kind

We are in a unique profession as we focus both on the decisions and care within the healthcare setting as well as how the person will do in the short-term and long-term at home. Our practice is enhanced when we have greater insight into and respect for the person’s culture, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, etc. Attendees will learn how to do an ethnographic interview, how diversity within and across cultures affects decision making, and how our own perspective may be influencing our practice.

Please stay tune for info on the upcoming DINE and LEARN!!!
