Case Management Internship Program©
A comprehensive orientation and training program for new Hospital Case Managers.
The Case Management Internship Program©(CMIP©) is a comprehensive orientation program developed by Morton Plant Mease Health Care in Clearwater, FL, winner of the 2007 Franklin Award of Distinction. The CMIP© has been made available as a workshop at the 2007 ACMA Leadership Conference and the 2008 NICM/ACMA National Conference.
The CMIP© Curriculum is now available for purchase through ACMA. The program materials include a 400 page manual of orientation materials and tools, as well as the entire program on two CDs. The program is designed as PowerPoint presentations ready to be given by a director or experienced case manager to new staff members. The presentations are comprehensive, and are easily customizable to an individual facility.
Program Curriculum
The Case Management Internship Program© is organized as a series of presentations, each containing comprehensive training on a specific topic, providing the information that new case managers need to know, and including slides that are customizable to an individual facility. The program includes the following presentations:

The CMIP© Toolkit is included in the program materials and is a critical part of the training program. It includes the forms and tools needed for turnkey implementation of the program in any organization. The Toolkit also includes other elements that are necessary elements of the curriculum, such as example referral forms to post-acute providers, sample job descriptions, and more.
