Annual Meeting

Hello from the ACMA Maryland Chapter!

On September 29 over 300 case management, transitions of care, health and behavioral health care professionals met in Baltimore with more than 80 exhibitors to hear experts share information in 8 sessions. Our keynote session, Do it Well. Make it Fun, set the tone. The speaker not only gave us tips on doing things well but had us rolling in the aisles with laughter. Ask the ones who attended and you may hear laughs when saying these words: Board Meetings, chart audits, tubing down the river. Humor is a great coping strategy! 5.5 CEs (including 3.0 Ethics) were earned by attending your choice of the following sessions:

  • CM Leaders from 3 hospitals sharing successful programs or Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and programs to help
  • Use of peer coaches in responding to the opioid crisis or How to increase physician engagement
  • Hot topics in Medicare regulations or Ethical issues that occur in a hospital setting

Having fun is what we do at our Annual Conference--not only by learning and networking, but by bidding on Silent Auction items, purchasing 50/50 tickets or hopefully winning one of the door prizes. We gave away registrations to future ACMA Conferences and a certificate to pay for the ACM exam! Pictures are on our MD Chapter Facebook page: facebook.com/acma.mdchapter.5   Conference attendees--don't forget to complete the evaluation link to get your CEU certificate from the email sent 10/7 from conferences@acmaweb.org .

At our Chapter Conference we asked members and attendees to tell us what is most important about ACMA membership and how we can make our Chapter and Conference better. If you could not attend we want to hear from you! Please complete this survey at:
