ACMA Colorado Chapter was established in 2019 by a Team of innovative professionals from various healthcare systems, with a shared vision towards knowledge-sharing of best practices from recognized experts, networking, and together becoming stronger for patients, families, communities, healthcare systems, and each other.

ACMA Colorado Chapter is awarded the prestigious 2023 Chapter of Merit status.

Colorado Chapter Members pave the path as leaders through our incredible Team of innovative professionals from various healthcare systems, with a shared vision towards knowledge-sharing of best practices from recognized experts, networking, and together becoming stronger for patients, families, communities, healthcare systems, and each other as together we advance our professional practice and collaborate throughout our community, our state of Colorado, and nationally!

Recognitions were announced today, April 21, 2024, at the ACMA Nationals Event taking place in Nashville, TN.  Out of thirty (30) ACMA Chapters, only five (5) Chapters were awarded Chapter of Merit - with Colorado Chapter being one of them!  

The Chapter of Merit Awards Program is an annual recognition that honors outstanding chapter performance. Chapters achieve these awards by demonstrating performance in key areas of chapter operations and attaining specific growth and development benchmarks.  Chapter Board Members undergo ACMA Chapter of Merit training and then continuously follow stringent qualifying requirements throughout the 2023 calendar year. Chapter of Merit standards recognize chapters that continue to grow, remain financially strong, achieve performance benchmarks and are adequately prepared to meet educational and networking needs of members.

Karen Vanaskie was one of case management's brightest and most dedicated professionals. She was serving as Secretary / Treasurer on the ACMA National Board of Directors at the time of her unexpected passing on June 21, 2024.

At the request of Karen's family, ACMA has set up the Karen Vanaskie Scholarship Fund. Karen was passionate about the need for case management certification. She actively supported her staff in pursuing the Accredited Case Manager (ACM) Certification. To continue her legacy, this scholarship fund will cover the cost of their ACM certification application fee for those to whom it is awarded. We believe this continues Karen's legacy.

ACMA and APLCM are proud to announce the latest iterations of the National Case Management and Transitions of Care Survey and the Physician Leaders in Care Management Survey, which have been the only source of comprehensive data for the case management industry since 2001. This ongoing research incorporates over 20 years of data, offering invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of case management, transitions of care, and physician advising.
