Message From Your Chapter President

Dear Chapter Leaders/Members, Vendors and affiliates.
It’s no surprise that we all will look back on 2020, as a year like no other. It’s also a good time to take a moment to thank all of you for the vital work you do caring for yourselves and families, strangers, patients and friends. Whether outpatient, bricks and mortor, hospitals, or patient management, all of us in health care have experienced the stressors particularly that came along with the pandemic.
The Florida Chapter of the American Case Management Association as you already know, would like to recognize and demonstrate profound appreciation to all the Nurses and Social Workers for their hard work as Case Managers. Our profession touches many lives and plays a critical role in healthcare! We have endured an emotional tug-of-war and socially complex times among the COVID 19 pandemic that has taken the lives of many. Fortunately, Case Management is a profession that offers a unique opportunity through the many hats we wear such as advocate, negotiator, bookie, educator, collaborator, driver, and discharge planner, to be examples of integrity, resilience, empathy, compassion, gratitude, and cross-cultural humility while providing direct care.
We must first and foremost continue to recognize any first responders who work directly with COVID 19 patients and all of those who may have lost someone to COVID 19, and hold steadfast in solidarity with all communities grieving as a result of this global crisis. We celebrate and honor you!
The ACMA Florida Chapter, remain one of the larger and more influential ACMA Chapters, that serves to support Case Managers while striving to improve the Case Management profession! Along with the ACMA we remain dedicated to education, public policy, and professional development of the Case Management Profession of both Nurses and Social Workers. We continue to expand our educational and networking opportunities to a larger geographic areas while striving to advocate for local and national public policies.
The ACMA Florida Chapter welcomes your voice and involvement in our committees including Education/Exhibitor/ACM Ambassador/ Networking/Social Media, and membership efforts. Your continued support and participation are both welcome and important to furthering the profession of Case Management.
It is with sincerest thanks that all or you are held in the highest regard.
Happy New Year.
Bring it!!
Sincerely,
Philicity Tinnie-Wilson, RN
