Registration Open - The HQRP - Understanding the Composite Quality Measure Webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET on Understanding a Composite Quality Measure. The purpose of this training is to provide a general overview of the Hospice Quality Composite Measure, how it differs from individual quality measures, and apply these concepts to understand composite measures. The presenters are Cindy Massuda, CMS HQRP Program Coordinator, and Brenda Karkos, associate nurse researcher at Abt Associates.

Specific topics include:

  • Background of the Hospice Quality Reporting Program.
  • What is a Composite Measure?
  • The Hospice Item Set (HIS)-Based Composite Measure.
  • Calculation of the HIS Composite Measure as an example to apply to composite measures in general.
  • Using Reports to Monitor Composite Measure Results.
  • HQRP resources.

The Accredited Case Manager (ACM) Certification is for health care delivery system case management professionals and tests core case management knowledge that is shared by nurse and social work case managers.
