Continuing Education Information

Continuing Education (CE) certificates issued by ACMA are generally accepted by most professional nursing and social work organizations and state boards of nursing and social work as many licensing authorities allow for some form of CE reciprocity. ACMA has made substantial efforts to obtain appropriate providerships for CE offerings; however, ACMA does not warrant that all professional organizations and/or licensing authorities will accept its CE offerings. If in doubt, individuals are advised to contact their professional licensing organizations and/or licensing authorities to confirm acceptance of one of more of the following:

ACMA IS AN APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION PROVIDER THROUGH THE FOLLOWING:

Nursing Continuing Education:
  • California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider #CEP 17441)
  • Florida Board of Nursing (Provider #50-3523)
Social Work Continuing Education
  • Florida Board of Social Work (Provider #50-3523)
  • Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (Sponsor #159-000900)
  • Maryland Board of Social Work (Authorized Sponsor of Category 1 credit hours)
  • Minnesota Board of Social Work (Sponsor #CEP-443)
  • New York State Education Department State Board (Sponsor #SW-0486)
CCM
Through a collaborative agreement with the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), ACMA educational activities and the corresponding credits are acceptable for CCM renewal.

As required by the approval agencies listed above, ACMA maintains records and CE certificates for all educational activities for a minimum of 7 years after the educational activity concludes.

PLEASE NOTE:
Individuals are responsible for contacting their professional organizations and/or licensing authorities to obtain information on licensure, continuing education requirements and requirements for acceptable continuing education courses, programs and sponsors. Individuals are also responsible for verifying that the approving organizations listed above are accepted by their professional organizations and/or licensing authorities. Unless otherwise noted on the CE certificate, individuals are responsible for submitting their earned continuing education credits/certificates to the appropriate professional organizations and/or licensing authorities to maintain their individual certification(s), recertification(s), licensure(s), etc.

If ACMA’s continuing education providership status changes, this page will be updated accordingly.
