Publication Date: 1/19/2024

Length: 56 minutes and 5 Seconds

Content Level: 1 Intermediate, General CE

Abstract
Hospitals around the country are facing pressure to reduce costs and prove the value of FTEs. This is challenging for case management departments which are often understaffed and overworked, with many workflows and administrative burdens to manage.

In this session a panel of case management leaders discuss how they're facing the cost reduction challenges head-on and offer tips to leverage technology, people, and processes to reduce costs and minimize administrative burden so their case management departments can focus on what they love…helping patients and their families.

Learning Objectives
1. Identify specific cost reduction initiatives implemented by leading organizations and case management departments.
2. Discuss how the strategic integration of technology and people management can streamline processes, increase efficiency, and contribute to significant cost reductions within case management departments.
3. Apply knowledge gained to develop actionable plans, utilize technology, optimize people and staffing, and refine processes to minimize administrative burdens, reduce costs, and enhance the focus on patient care.
